We are a technology start-up obsessed with the $1.4 trillion housing industry. Backed by investors at SV Angel (Ron Conway), Founder Collective, Google, Stubhub and Slide, we're working to build a community-generated database of nationwide property listings, company profiles and consumer reviews that exist outside the closed MLS system and that are easily accessible by consumers wherever they may be. We are cash flow positive, have a clear business model and are attacking highly complex issues, both technologically and strategically. We are looking to change the world (well the real estate world) and are stubborn enough to think we just might be able to do it. As we expand, we are looking for key hires to join our founding team - on the engineering and design side to help us build out and scale our platform and on the business side as we focus on customer acquisition, data distribution and scaling geographically.

What we believe (and don't):

We believe in building a cutting-edge technology that revolutionizes the real estate space and are dedicated to creating a place where engineers love to work in order to achieve this. We're an all-mac shop developing on Ruby, Rails, Heroku, Git and Postgres. We embrace an agile, continuous deployment coding environment and obsess over constantly improving our products based on user data and testing. We actively engage our users to solicit feedback. We don't believe in building great applications no one wants to use.

In terms of fit, we crave producers and stay away from people who just talk. We're a bit indifferent to your past, education or pedigree but obsess over those ambitious individuals out there capable of making meaningful contributions from day one. We love focused yet open-minded individuals who love to process new data points, constantly challenging and updating their assumptions based on new information. We believe it is imperative to know when it's time to pivot and when it's time to hold steady at the helm, and we're looking for individuals with the intellectual rigor and practical, real-world experience to know which course of action is appropriate and when.

We're known for having an "insanely intense" work ethic. We don't think this guarantees success, but we do believe it's a prerequisite. Equally important, however, is our collective ability to bring actionable ideas to the table, so we value the importance of creativity, often freeing our minds via office bicycle races, wiffleball home-run-derby, walks to the nearby coffee shop or the occasional game of Wii-tennis. Some of our best ideas come to us during these breaks. That being said, we take pride in being the first ones to the offices and the last ones to leave.

Finally, we believe in celebrating success and are committed to building a culture based on this. We don't believe in layers and we don't believe in managers, at least not for some time. We believe in a flat organization based on a culture of meritocracy and with this we're looking to build a creative, hard-working and fun team of producers with whom we can transform a trillion dollar industry.
